Congratulations Lt. Steve Silcott
Lt. Steve Silcott is among 14 of Winslow Township Fire District's graduating class of newly hired career firefighters. He recently completed "a grueling four week program of instruction in Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Confined Space, Pump and Ladder Operations, Rapid Intervention Team Operations as well as department procedures and protocols and will be deployed on Monday 31 March 2008."
Please join the Members of the WTDF in supporting Steve's accomplishments on Friday 28 March 2008 at 7:00 pm for graduation and oaths of office planned to be held at the Winslow Township Municipal Building, 125 S. Route 73, Winslow Township, NJ 08037.

Waterford Township Holds 1st Rescue Operations Class*
An attempt at using the combined resources of two emergency services agencies to train personnel at a reduced cost became an unqualified success this spring in Southern New Jersey. The partnership that was formed was certainly an unusual one, especially in an area not known for agency cooperation.

WTFD Qualifies for 2008 National Extrication Competition*
Waterford Township Fire Department participated in the Mason-Dixon Extrication
Competition in York, PA. The mason-Dixon Competition was held over 2 days with teams
from 4 states and 2 countries.

Confined Space Drill
The Waterford Twp Fire Dept. trained in Confined Space Rescue at the Woodstream Dry Well in Atco. The WTFD conducted two confined space entries with 2 rescuers on each entry.

with reports of animals trapped inside. 2301 arrived to find a
24" x 24", 2 car garage fully involved.

Vehicle Fire
Waterford Twp Fire Department was dispatched for a vehicle
fire in a driveway of a residence. On arrival E2323 found
a Ford F-150 fully involved. Crews lead off with 1-3/4" speed
lay with foam. The fire was quickly extinguished and turned over
to CFM 5.

Trench Rescue in Pine Hill
Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on August 25, 2005 firefighters were dispatched to Cross-Keys Road near New Freedom Road in Pine Hill, New Jersey for a rescue assignment. There was an update from Camden County Fire Radio to Pine Hill Fire Chief Dick Wright that there was a man trapped in a construction ditch.

Around 05:00 Winslow Twp Fire Department was dispatched for a
building fire at the US Components Business on
Williamstown-Newfreedom Rd. When 2500 responded, he stuck the All-Hands box due to reports of heavy fire showing. He then struck
the 2nd Alarm prior to arrival.
