All Hands Dwelling - Tremont Ave
Task Force 233 was dispatched to Tremont Ave. for a resident reporting their Smoke Detector has activated. Units arrived to find medium smoke conditions in the dwelling with a mattress smoldering on the front lawn. Once inside 2301 found a working house fire, and struck the “All Hands” box and added an additional Tender due to having no hydrants.
Engine 232 & Squad Co. 232 arrived and lead off 1.75” pre-connect through the front door. Crews were meet with heavy fire and poor visibility. Fire extended to the attic and basement. Mutual Aid from Berlin Boro, West Berlin, Winslow FD, Lindenwold, Indian Mills, Hammonton, Cecil, Camden County ISAT and Others were on-scene to assist in fire suppression and water supply.
The fire was placed under control at approx. 07:25. Companies remained on-scene with extensive overhaul.
